Gli inglesi Alt-J, vincitori dell’edizione 2012 del Mercury Prize e con un bassista in meno, stanno per tornare con il loro secondo album This Is All Yours – fuori il 22 settembre via Infectious Music. Il primo estratto dall’album, trasmesso da Zane Lowe nel corso del suo show sulla BBC, si intitola Hunger of the Pine – sopra, l’artwork.
Il tastierista del gruppo, Gus Unger-Hamilton, ha parlato ad NPR della canzone: contiene un sample di 4×4 di Miley Cyrus ed è “composta interamente da idee nuove e spontanee […] è stata scritta molto velocemente usando degli accordi di chitarra e dei suoni stratificati su Ableton, e sembrava un piccolo passo verso un nostro nuovo suono.
