Dev Hynes, in arte Blood Orange, ha pubblicato un nuovo brano su SoundCloud. Si intitola Do You See My Skin Through the Flames? e non apparirà sul suo prossimo album – sono solo “alcune cose che ha in testa”. Ci sono parti in cui non fa che parlare, e i testi parlano della tensione razziale negli Stati Uniti di oggi e degli eventi di Charleston. Hynes però del nuovo album parla eccome, dicendo che scrivendolo si sta “decostruendo, cercando di capire chi sono – non quell’immagine dipinta della persona che ero.”
Si parla pure delle origini del suo cognome. “Stavo cercando il significato del mio nome – quale fosse la sua origine… è un nome irlandese che significa ‘servo’. Non solo il mio cognome deriva dalla schiavitù, significa letteralmente ‘servitore’.”
