John Darnielle, ormai un autore pubblicato, trova ancora il tempo per dedicarsi al suo gruppo — i Mountain Goats, che mancano sulle scene da un paio d’anni. Il loro ultimo LP Beat the Champ risale a marzo 2015 e avrà ora un seguito. Il nuovo album del gruppo si intitolerà Goths e uscirà il 19 maggio.
La formazione che ha suonato l’album è un quartetto, con Matt Douglas ad aggiungersi al gruppo ai fiati. La descrizione dell’album su Bandcamp nota che sull’album non ci sono voci modificate o chitarre.
