Il cantautore psych americano Scott Yoder ha pubblicato quest’anno il suo primo LP Looking Back in Blue via Annibale Records, e al momento è impegnato in un tour europeo che toccherà anche l’Italia. Oggi Rumore vi fa vedere, in anteprima, il video della sua Ribbon of Hate, diretto da Aykut Ozen.
Scott ci ha spiegato così l’idea dietro al video: “Dopo aver finito il mio primo tour solista mi è venuta l’idea di filmare, una sera, una finta band che suonasse con me. Dopo aver rallentato le immagini e averci giocato un po’ ho sentito il mio amico/fotografo Aykut e gli ho fatto proiettare la band su di me. È quasi tutto improvvisato. È l’unico modo in cui mi sono effettivamente divertito a filmare un video.

Psych singer-songwriter Scott Yoder published his debut LP Looking Back in Blue this year via Annibale Records and is currently on tour in Europe. Rumore is proud to showcase his new video for Ribbon of Hate, which was directed by his talented friend Aykut Ozen. It involves projections and a fake band, because why the heck not, projectors are way cooler than you’d think. Here’s what Scott had to say about it:
After going in my first solo tour–I had the idea to film a fictional backing band one nite. After slowing it down and kind of playing with it I got in touch with my photographer/musician friend Aykut Ozen to have him project the band onto me. We improvised most of it. The only way I’ve ever enjoyed filming a music video.
