La cantante di Manchester Denise Johnson è morta a 56 anni per cause che non sono state rese note. La Johnson era nota soprattutto per il contributo all’album Screamadelica dei Primal Scream, ma negli anni aveva collaborato con moltissime band della scena di Manchester, dagli Electronic di Johnny Marr e Bernard Sumner ad I Am Kloot e A Certain Ratio. Attualmente stava lavorando al suo debutto solista Where Does It Go, previsto per settembre, una raccolta di brani originali e cover di Smiths, New Order e altri.
